Summer Missions Work '09

The summer for CEF Charlotte-Metro has been great.  Starting with Summer Mission PreTraing to the CYIA Summer Missionary Training Camp in June @ Camp Good News in Asheville to our Summer 5 Day Clubs has been great!  We taught over 1,000 children in our summer bible clubs.  One of our new sites was the Center of Hope Woman's Shelter.  We minister the gospel to about 40 homeless children that are in the shelter with their moms.  It was joy to bring them the good news of Jesus Christ.  From Preschool clubs to teenagers, home clubs in subdivision to public housing Boys & Girls Clubs we reach a lot of different children wherever they are...we go!

Many of our teenagers went to camps to be Camp Counselors and we helped in Raleigh reaching 10,000 people at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds with the Childrens Good News spectacular on Saturday, August 1

CEF North American Caribbean Conference

May 2-7

We had our anual CEF CONFERENCE and it was a 5 Day Cruise...I know but I told the Lord "here I am send me" (lol)  We had plenty of workshop and information and resources to help our missions work to children.  We spent one day and went into the public schools to share Christ in Grand Cayman Island.  Right in the midlle of school hours.  And we did the sam thing in Jamaica.  The school administration and the children were open arms with people to talk about Jesus to the children...hello wake up America!

I am so sorry its been several months since I have been here. My summer was busy and than I forgot how to post a blog.  So the next couple weeks maybe I can get some good blogs goin (lol)

Nowthe time has come. We have 16 brave teenagers been doing some serious training to devote the summer to beinga summer missionary doing 5 Day Clubs with CEF / Charlotte-Metro Chapter.  Hours of PreTraing, and a thrre-hourMissionary Qualification Test Saturday (4/21), so they can go to CEF CYIA Trining Camp @ Camp Good news in Asheville NC in June...brave (lol)

Than we have to test them CEF Style to make sure they understand. And they actually love getting tested????

Who knew? But they are ready to do something bighere in the Charlotte area for the Lord!!!!

You might not know it by lookingat me...but there is more to life than coffee,donuts, pizza, and ice cream..haha

And He took a child and put him in the midst of them, and takeing him in His arms, He said to them,"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives the one who sent me." (Mark 9: 36, 37)

Oh how we want to please Jesus,  We do want to bring Him glory with our lives.  Well, Jesus explains how we can to do that...work with CEF!!! (lol) No, just kidding, but He did say invest your lives in the lives of children.  When we do that (work with CEF - haha, it shows:  1) We value and love Jesus 2) We value and love our Heavenly Father...soooo work with CEF, no invest into the lives of children
